Lessons
AMS Music Studio offers piano and voice lessons. Lessons are held at the AMS Music Studio only.
Piano Lessons
Using a combination of Dr. John M. Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege curricula, as well as the Faber Piano Adventures series, students will learn techniques, theory, music notation, and expression at all levels of learning. Creative supplemental activities will be provided to reinforce and expand on concepts learned. After the initial lesson, students are expected to purchase their own piano workbooks in order to practice at home. Beginning lessons are for students aged 8 or older.
Voice Lessons
Students will improve their aural skills, develop proper breathing technique and vocal tone, imbed expression and musicality in their singing, and learn how to utilize solfege to reinforce music notation reading. After the initial lesson, students are expected to purchase their own copies so they can practice at home. Beginning lessons are for students aged 12 or older.
